SAFe for Hardware SHWA (EN)
Accelerate innovation and product delivery in complex hardware environments English
Inhoud
In hardware development, traditional product cycles often span months or years. Testing is expensive, prototyping is slow, and design changes are risky. But your organisation needs to innovate faster, deliver more value, and collaborate across disciplines.
How do you build complex hardware systems with the speed and flexibility of Agile? How do you coordinate mechanical, electrical, and software teams in one Agile Release Train (ART)? And how do you plan, test, and integrate in shorter cycles without compromising quality?
In this course, you’ll learn how to adapt SAFe to the unique needs of hardware. You’ll explore Agile architecture, design cycles, hardware backlogs, supplier collaboration, and fast feedback loops – all tailored to physical product development. You’ll also practise key techniques that help teams align, iterate, and deliver together.
This course is designed for you if you recognise one or more of the following:
- You work in a hardware or systems engineering environment transitioning to SAFe
- You need to reduce cycle time and improve alignment across disciplines
- You struggle to apply Agile to physical design, testing, or manufacturing
- You want to learn how to accelerate product delivery in regulated or safety-critical domains
- You’re looking to integrate hardware, firmware, and software teams in one Agile system
- This course is relevant for systems engineers, hardware developers, mechanical/electrical engineers, architects, Product Managers, and other professionals working in Agile hardware or cyber-physical product environments.
What you’ll do during this course
- Learn how to apply Agile and SAFe to complex hardware development
- Explore hardware backlogs, design cadence, integration and testing
- Practice aligning disciplines and teams in a full Agile Release Train (ART)
- Understand how to manage lead times, compliance, and physical constraints
- Learn techniques for cross-functional planning, rapid prototyping, and fast feedback
- Discover how to accelerate innovation without compromising reliability or quality
Note: Course materials and the exam are in English. The course itself is delivered in English.
After this course
- You’ll know how to speed up value delivery in hardware contexts
- You’ll be able to align engineering and business teams around shared objectives
- You’ll work more effectively across disciplines and suppliers
- You’ll understand how to bring Agile thinking into physical product design
- You’ll feel confident applying SAFe in complex and regulated environments
Together, we’ll help you build better hardware – faster, safer and with real customer value
At Connected Movement, we bring real-world experience into every course. Our trainers have hands-on expertise in hardware-intensive SAFe implementations, and they know what it takes to drive change in complex systems environments.
Even after the course, you won’t be alone. You’ll gain access to knowledge, tools, and a growing community of peers who are also transforming their organisations with SAFe. This course is your launchpad to a new way of working – one that helps you deliver innovation at speed.
